The Chainsmokers has been known for its dance songs and many hits that always seem to make it on the top charts. But under dance charts of today, it seems that The Chainsmokers’ debut album is going strong as it still retains on the top 1. What made it more interesting is that it managed to gain a new record for being a long-running top 1.
The debut album Memories… Do Not Open by The Chainsmokers is still at the Top 1 on Billboard’s charts under the Dance/Electrinic category. This category features the best songs ever released for dance and EDM genres. The album is consistent for making non-consecutive turns on the list for 34 times, making it a record breaker in billboard as of today.
But Memories… Do Not Open is rivaled by Demon Days, an album made by the Gorillaz. It’s also a record breaker on the top list at Billboard, and is still on the top list for 13 years. Both have gained 34 turns for being top 1 ever since they both got released. But the album by Gorillaz may stiop its streak soon enough, and take note that Memories… Do Not Open didn’t get released as long as Demon Days. This grants Memories… Do Not Open more potential in making more non-consecutive turns.
Memories… Do Not Open is always at the top 1 for the Dance/Albums category, and even earned a spotlight on the Billboard 200’s Top 10. The Chainsmokers gathered a great reputation from the songs it released, as evident with its hits last year. For sure The Chainsmokers will make more ideas and songs that will make their hits and albums top 1 for a long time once they do well with their recording and career.
